Termoli is a charming coastal town in southern Italy, nestled in the heart of the Molise region and overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Famous for its picturesque seafront, Termoli blends the ancient charm of its historic centre with the serene beauty of its coastline. The Old Town, also known as the Borgo Antico, is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets encircled by impeccably preserved medieval walls.
Termoli required a fresh and engaging visual identity that aligns with both visitors and residents. The goal was to enhance the city’s cultural significance and amplify its appeal as a tourist destination, cultural-commercial hub and investment opportunity.
Produced as a part of my role as Director of Creative at the Experience place, our solution acknowledged that Termoli is not just one thing. It’s the interplay of many — the rhythm of daily life, history’s resonance, seasonal celebrations, the pulse of creativity, and the deep sense of place.
To honour and express this richness, we created a series of icons that capture the many facets of Termoli’s identity and everything it has to offer. Designed to be interchangeable and enhance the core brand identity, as well as versatile for rich urban design applications and therefore effective place making.
